Today was a slow run. My legs were a little heavy and I had a long day at work so I decided to take it easy. I enjoy running slow because it allows me to notice the things around me more than when I run fast. Before I set out for my run, I decided to make a 'running' play-list on my i-pod so that I wouldn't have to spend the majority of my run pressing the next button while the songs shuffled. My play-list consisted of songs by David Crowder, Dave Matthews, Colbie Caillat, Jon Foreman, and Dierks Bentley. Throughout the run I was overwhelmed with gratitude that the Lord brought me to Athens, Ga. It's beautiful, eclectic, and most of all the people that I have met here are amazing. I thought back to about a month ago when I was wrestling with why I was even living in Athens. God reminded me why tonight. On my way home I made a short stop in Jittery Joe's to say hey to my friends who have made Athens so great.
